EARTH CITY, MO, June 15, 2023 — FSI, a global leader in the polyurethane industry, has donated $35,000 worth of firefighting equipment to the Pattonville Fire Department. This generous donation included high-end chemical detection equipment and other firefighting equipment in need of replacement.
The announcement was made during the Fire District Board meeting held on Wednesday, June 14, where Fire Chief Jim Usry introduced FSI. “They graciously have been working with us on donating to the district some firefighting equipment. This donation helps us out tremendously in our budgetary items, and we appreciate the community partnership with FSI,” said Usry.
Josh Read, a director at FSI, followed with remarks emphasizing the company’s core values. “One of our core values at FSI is Caring. This donation is a small token of our appreciation for all that you do to keep us safe. As a chemical manufacturing facility, we recognize the need for safety, and we want to make sure that those who keep us safe are safe. We want to take care of the people who take care of us.”
FSI’s donation is part of their ongoing community support initiative. In the past, the company has made similar donations to the St. Louis County Police Department and several other police departments.
