Sporting Goods

Polyurethane products are a key component of a wide range of sporting goods built for frequent heavy use.

Polyurethane systems for sporting goods manufacturers

Safe, reliable, durable sporting goods

Ecoflex® integral skin systems deliver excellent cushioning and customizable densities for a wide range of products ranging from supportive gym and yoga mats to shock-absorbing padding and helmet layers. The fast cure time of Ecoflex® results in faster demold times and overall faster manufacturing.

Our Ecoflex® microcellular foams exhibit excellent flowability and lower viscosity to fill parts 20% to 50% faster than traditional molding, increasing facility output capacity.

Microcellular polyurethane foams are easy to die cut into complex shapes and support precision tooling while integral skin exteriors can feature a wide range of color options, UV stabilizers and anti-bacterial additives. Polyurethane products from FSI enable manufacturers to deliver high-performance with a high-quality look and feel.

The fine cell structure of our microcellular foams facilitates production of high-density products without the added cost and weight. Integral skin systems offer densities as low as 2.5 pcf—the lowest in the industry—and can reduce component weight. Lightweight solutions add comfort and ease of use to superior safety.

Polyurethane products from Foam Supplies feature customizable resilience, hardness and stiffness for performance across a range of sporting applications, such as golf balls with 110 compression ratings or elastomer scooter wheels with 82A hardness ratings.

Our polyurethane systems are formulated for durability, providing excellent abrasion, impact and tear resistance with UV-resistant additives as an option. Cast elastomers withstand scratches, tears and corrosion and maintain their form even in harsh conditions.

Most Foam Supplies polyurethane foam solutions are made with Ecomate® blowing agent, a zero-GWP formula meeting the most stringent environmental regulations, including California SB1013. It requires no Prop 65 labeling.

Foam systems blown with Ecomate® technology offer easy transition from HFC systems compared to other fourth-generation blowing agents. No permits or explosion proofing is required before transitioning to Ecomate®-blown foam products.

FSI’s global production and distribution network offers flexible delivery in totes, drums, pressurized cylinders or in bulk according to your needs.
